As the son and grandson of farmers, I grew up with a deep connection to the land. For me, the idea of working the land meant using it to provide food and clothing. My wife descended from miners and railroad workers, and to her family, working the land meant using the resources found underground for building and creating new technologies. More recently, I have been involved in the planning process as land that was once used for farming has been turned into roads, homes and businesses. Whatever we are in need of, the Land will provide.
